B2B Marketing using Twitter

It is widely assumed that business that offer business and professional services cannot take the Twitter advantage. This is not True. There are many opportunities for the B2B industry using twitters technology

Forge relationships with suppliers and clients alike

Over 6 million users use Twitter. It’s likely that a lot of your past clients are using it. By forging connections with them you can encourage repeat business. It’s also important to forge connections with your suppliers. By meeting on a personal level, you may be able to forge a more fruitful relationship.

Promote your news and successes in a cheap and effective way

Press releases cost money. Why does it have to stop there. Why not promote your press release further to get your company name out there far and wide. B2B transactions tend to be worth large sums of money so by promoting them on a free service for anyone to see can help boost confidence in what you are selling. Celebrate your successes and you will build confidence in your services

Give you company a voice

The view of a large business, particularly in the B2B sector is that of suits who don’t care about anything other than profit. This is obviously not the case and by using twitter you can give your company a personality that will help boost your public image

Self Preservation

Although a very negative point, self preservation must be considered. It is quite easy for anyone to set up an account on Twitter. This does mean someone could voice their opinions on behalf of your company without even knowing it. By making yourself prominent on such a large platform will make sure the company cannot experience a PR Disaster

All this can be done very easy and for free. See our twitter guidelines for more help on effective twitter marketing.
