LinkedIn is a professional kind of Facebook, and many professionals use a Facebook account for their family and home life and a LinkedIn account for their professional life. It provides a means of contacting people you knew from employment or academic study and then contacting those connected to your contacts. It is an online networking tool allowing you to establish a network of contacts for your work.

How to ruin a good website with SEO

It is a shame that so many good websites are being ruined by poorly implemented SEO work. Our advice when commissioning any SEO work, is to ensure that you do not lose sight of the overall marketing aim of the website – and this is unlikely simply to be ‘no 1’ for a particular search phrase.

Twitter with Business

Many businesses have experimented with Twitter and some have done better than others. Initially many used Twitter simply as a news medium to broadcast short tweets about news or offers. Although OK this is really no more than a short news broadcast and does not make use of the social or networking side of Twitter.

SEO Myths – Link Building.

One difficulty facing SEO agencies is trying to inform business owners that striving for hundreds of poor links us not a good tactic; agencies have clients wanting to know ‘how many more links’ have been achieved, and it is often easier to acquire a few more rather than re-educate the client that masses of low grade links are not a useful target.
