It can influence how a website is found on Google, which is particularly pertinent for businesses. The +1 button recommends a website to the people in your social network who are signed into their Google account.
With 20 million people already clicking +1 it is likely to affect SEO of business websites. After all, seeing websites that friends or colleagues have recommended or +1’d endorses the website and its products.
